I found out about it because one of my students went there to eat lunch and saw it. I wish I would have known earlier to let everyone know he was coming, because it is an impressive little robot.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.dan-kohn.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/images.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.dan-kohn.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/images.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"images\" width=\"425\" height=\"275\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2055\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/images.jpg 425w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/images-300x194.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 425px) 100vw, 425px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>A humanoid robot about 2 foot high, 25 Degrees of freedom (ie joint movements), 2 cameras and a bunch of other sensors. It is programmable via a graphical programming language, a text based language, or by just manually moving the robot (and it will mimic those moves). <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.dan-kohn.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.dan-kohn.us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"IMG_20111010_153215\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2056\" srcset=\"http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-300x224.jpg 300w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-1024x765.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-768x574.jpg 768w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-1536x1147.jpg 1536w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-2048x1530.jpg 2048w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-1200x896.jpg 1200w, http:\/\/blog.dankohn.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/IMG_20111010_153215-1980x1479.jpg 1980w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the $6,000 -> $9,000 price tag, it was very impressive considering that only a few years ago similar robots would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
