Cartoon from July 21, 1969. If you know the names shown of the Ghost Astronauts (as people in 1969 certainly did), you know how hard this cartoon hit. Wayne Stayskal was a cartoonist for the Chicago Today (formerly the Chicago American, a Hearst paper; it died off in 1974). Stayskal moved to the Tampa Tribune, retired in 2010, moved back to the Chicago suburbs, and died in 2018 at 87.
