Did you catch the Google Doodle earlier this week? In honor of the 55th anniversary of the National Trails System Act on Monday, October 2, Google’s homepage featured interactive illustrations of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail.
The National Trails System Act forever changed the ATC’s ability to conserve the A.T., providing federal protection for the Trail and establishing the cooperative management system. Learn more about this landmark legislation and check out the Google Doodle below!
