The 2015 DARPA Robotics Challenge Finals took place last week. If you are not familiar with this challenge, it was based on experiences with the Fukushima Nuclear Disaster in Japan. During that event, people had to be sent in to high radiation areas to do work. The DARPA contest challenged teams to build a robot that could: Drive a car, Walk on rubble, Turn valves, Cut holes in walls, Climb stairs, connect hoses etc.
