The Young Engineers Support Program (Y.E.S.) says
“If you are a student or individual involved with an engineering project or robotics competition who would like request products, please fill out the Student Sample Request Form.
Please note that the Y.E.S. Program is not limited to students, but also welcomes requests from all individuals or organizations competing in robotic and autonomous vehicle competitions.”
It is sponsored by Igus, a manufacture of plastic bearings and other parts related to robotics.

Each year Mid-south Community College in West Memphis hosts the regional B.E.S.T. Robotics Competition.
In 2008 the contest was held in November, and I was a referee. Take a look at the Pictures from the event.

Students from the University of Memphis Competed in the Robotics Competition at IEEE SouthEastCon 2009 held in Atalanta Ga.
Christian Brothers University also competed in the event and finished in 6th place!
Team 2817 from Memphis City Schools (a team that I mentored) competed in the Wisconsin Regional First Robotics Competition and won Rookie Inspiration Award.
