In honor of Independence Day, we asked 21-year-old Amanda Gorman the Inaugural Youth Poet Laureate of the United States, to write a poem. The Boston Pops Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, performs one of the most famous July Fourth concerts each year. We asked them to bring music to her composition, “Believer’s Hymn for the Republic.”
