MATE ROV Competition 2021

The MATE ROV Competition is a global student underwater robotics (remotely operated vehicle or ROV) competition that consists of World Championship and a network of 41 (and growing!) regional contests that take place across North America, Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and the Western Pacific. Hundreds of student teams from upper elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, home schools, community colleges, universities, and community organizations, such as the Boys and Girls Club and 4-H, participate.

It is now coming to Memphis…….

Join the West TN STEM Hub for an exciting underwater robotics competition this spring!  We anticipate hosting the competition in late May, 2021.  The Hub will provide a bi-weekly series of virtual workshops designed to support participating students and teachers.  The Hub will host the SCOUT competition, which is appropriate for beginning robotics students of any grade level. You can learn more about the MATE competition on the national website:  https://materovcompetition.org. If you are interested in participating in the Hub’s competition, please register through this link and we will provide more details:  https://memphis.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/preview/SV_cuA6ckdC5s1rgvX?Q_CHL=preview&Q_SurveyVersionID=current

***In the event that it is not possible to hold and in-person event in late May, students will still be able to compete in a virtual event with technical presentations and industry judges.
