Dear West Tennessee FIRST LEGO League Community,
Back in the spring we shared the news that LEGO Education would not be renewing their partnership with FIRST, and that the 2026-2027 season would be the final season of FIRST LEGO League as we know it. We told you then that we would keep you posted as we learned more, and that we were committed to finding a path forward for our students.
So here is where we stand.
NoBox is running the 2026-2027 FIRST LEGO League season for West Tennessee. We are using the Foundation LEGO Education SPIKE Prime kits your teams already own. We are not asking anyone to buy new hardware. Nothing about that has changed since the spring, and we want to be very clear that this season is happening.
What comes after that is still an open subject. FIRST is developing the next generation of K-8 programming, but we do not have details yet.
What we do know is that we are not going to figure this out in a vacuum. So we want to get everyone in a conference call, and talk about it together. We want to talk about this season, and the future.
